| Jinja
Jinja is Uganda's second largest city. In 1862 Speke identified this place as the Source of the Nile that starts its journey from Lake Victoria to the Mediterranean sea through Sudan and Egypt. The riddle of the Nile source is still on today and many people consider that its route should start from the origin of Kagera river on Rwanda hills. The Nile marks the boundary between the Buganda and Busoga kingdoms. Areas of interest: - Bujagali Falls are a popular attraction especially among the young travellers willing to experience the thrill of rafting Nile's rapids, four of which are classed as grade five. It's possible to try bungee jumping too! |
