Day by day program
Day 1:
In the morning welcome of the travellers at the international airport of Entebbe. Visit to the Botanical Garden established in 1902 that offers an introduction to Uganda's plants and birdlife then proceed to the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre, often misplaced as a zoo, that protect rare and threatened animals unable to feed themselves in the wild. Dinner and overnight at Kampala.
Day 2:
In the morning drive westbound to the near Mabamba swamp. Local guides will take you around in traditional canoes searching for the famous Shoebill. Lunch an the way and afternoon visit to Katereke prison created by the kabaka Kalema in 1890 to imprison in a deep ditch his royal brothers and sisters believed to be mounting a coup. After traditional dances organized by the local community drive to Mpanga forest (30 minutes). Dinner and overnight in the forest cottages.
Day 3:
Morning walk in the forest then drive to the Ankole farm at Nshenyi village (4 hours). Lunch on the way. A full range of activities wait you at the farm giving you the chance to learn about the Ankole traditions: milking cows, making ghee, grazing the cows, cultural nights, traditional cooking, market visit. Full board at the farm.
Day 4: As day 3. Listen ... to the silence; smell ...the freshness; watch ... the undiscovered; taste ... the culture; feel Africa!
Day 5: Morning drive to Bushara Island on Lake Bunyonyi (4 hours). Lunch on the way. Dinner and overnight on the so called "Switzerland of Africa".
Day 6: Morning excursion to the village of Batwa pigmies. This pigmy group lives in the Echuya forest reserve. Return to Bushara island in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight.
Day 7: After breakfast drive to Fort Portal (5 hours), stop at the tombs and royal palace of the Toro kingdom, the most ancient Ugandan kingdom. Lunch on the way Dinner and overnight on lake Nyinabulitwa.
Day 8: Visit to a village of Bambuti pigmies and Semuliki hot springs. Semuliki National Park can be reached through a scenic route on Rwenzori slopes. Day walk in the park. Lunch on the way, dinner and overnight on lake Nyinabulitwa.
Day 9: After breakfast drive back to Kampala visiting on the way the Nakayima tree. According to the local tradition the tree harbours the spirit of Ndahura, former king of the Bagwezi, deified by both the Banyoro and Baganda as the god of small pox. Before reaching the capital visit at the Tanda Pits, deep holes dug, according the oral Baganda tradition, by Kayikuzi, "creator's son". Lunch on the way, dinner and overnight at Kampala.
Day 10: After breakfast visit to the National Museum of Uganda, the oldest in East Africa. Its ethnographic collection on Ugandan tribes is very important together with its collection of African musical instruments. After lunch visit at Kasubi and Wamala tombs. Kasubi tombs shelter the remains of the last 4 Buganda kings. At Wamala there is the former royal palace and the tomb of mother of king Suuna I, Namasole. His descendant still lives at Wamala and takes care of the tombs. Drive to Jinja. Dinner and overnight overlooking river Nile.
Day 11: Visit the source of the Nile and Bujagali falls. Lunch at Jinja. Drive to Sipi Falls. Dinner and overnight at Lacam lodge overlooking the falls.
Day 12: In the morning visit to Kumi rock paintings (1 hour). Lunch at Lacam lodge and visit of the Sipi Falls. Dinner and overnight.
Day 13: Early in the morning return to Entebbe passing through Ssezibwa falls tied to old local legends about 2 twins. Picnic near the falls and return to the airport for the departure of the travellers.


Includes
Transport using customised vehicle with opening roof; passengers and public liability insurance; full board; driver/guide and armed rangers in the parks when required; all fees for the excursions - activities as stated in the day by day program; all park entrance fees; accommodation as stated; return airport transfers.
 
Excludes
Interational flight to and from Uganda; visas if required; personal travel insurance; drinks; tips, laundry, optional activities, extras, personal items and everything not stated in the day by day program.
 
Notes
Travellers are supposed to reach Entebbe on the tour starting day before 8 am and leaving from the same airport at the end of the tour after 8 pm. If these times can't be respected then 1 or 2 days should be calculated for the overnight in Kampala.
Children under 12 years of age are not allowed to see chimpanzees. Kibale NP offers small walks of 1 or 2 hours followed by creative activities.
Gorilla trekking is not allowed to anyone under 15 years of age.

Prices of optional activities are in United States dollars (USD).
 
Terms and conditions
Bookings: At the moment of booking a deposit of the 40% of the total amount is due. Bookings must be made at least 60 days before the date of departure. O sole mio Ltd reserves the right to don't accept bookings made less than 60 days prior the date of departure.
Full payment has to be made not less than 30 days before the departing date of the tour. If the full amount is not paid in due time, O sole mio Ltd reserves the right to treat the booking as cancelled.
Cancellations: 60 days prior to departure date of the tour, full refund of deposit; between 60 and 30 days, refund of 50% of deposit; less than 30 days, no refund.
